A Pink Rose

Days come and go,

Hours pass and people flow

This weekend, though,

Time will stop and the moon will glow

The stars will dance

And the birds will chant!

It isn't everyday that a rose is born

A pink one, no less, with sweet flesh tones

She is the star of this summer sky!

A tribute to beauty and all flowers alike

She comes to us by way of luck and through chance

Only to beautify it all with her charm!

She is, of course, the inspiration of this short verse

One heartfelt dedication to her gleaming grace!
