Texas Instruments Employee to Receive National Hispanic in Technology Award

DALLAS, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Gabriel Rincon-Mora of Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN - news) is the recipient of the 2000 National Hispanic in Technology Award. Selected from a distinguished national group of nominees, the senior design engineer will receive the award during the 22nd annual National Technical and Career Conference in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 28.

The National Hispanic in Technology Award, recognized by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), honors the top Hispanic engineer who has made outstanding contributions in the fields of engineering and/or science.

Dr. Rincon-Mora, a senior design engineer and a member of TI's group technical staff, serves as an adjunct professor for Georgia Institute of Technology. His work at TI and Georgia Tech was instrumental in establishing a multi-million dollar TI sponsorship of the engineering program. Dr. Rincon- Mora is the inventor, author and designer of numerous patents, publications and products in the field of analog integrated circuit design.

Dr. Rincon-Mora received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Florida International University in 1992 and his masters in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech in 1994, where he received his doctorate in 1996.
